This autonomy is essential to guarantee the effectiveness, independence, and sustainability of these organizations, whose contribution to <strong>socio-economic development<\/strong>, poverty reduction, and the promotion of democratic values \u200b\u200bon the African continent is crucial. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-6a5ed5071485df934f0a8554f62fb83f wp-block-paragraph\">The aim of this report is to provide the user, a researcher in this field, with a rigorously selected list of freely accessible online resources from key institutional websites. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-48495b69e01542326526505fa6cffbb7 wp-block-paragraph\">This list aims to constitute a <strong>solid inventory<\/strong> for its in-depth study on the financial autonomy of African NGOs and associations.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-bd1fdfaadbacf6671376e69555efd719 wp-block-paragraph\">The methodology used to compile this list consisted of a <strong>comprehensive analysis<\/strong> publications, reports, policies, guidelines and in-depth analyses available on the official websites of the United Nations (UN), the African Development Bank (AfDB), the African Union (AU), the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the International Center for Not-for-Profit Law (ICNL), as well as some leading international foundations and development agencies (USAID, DFID\/FCDO) and African and international think tanks specializing in issues of <strong>development<\/strong> and civil society.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>INTRODUCTION Financial autonomy, in the context of African non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and associations, is defined as their ability to mobilize diversified resources, maintain their operational independence, and ensure their long-term sustainability.
